Knowing - by Markus Dingcong
What would the universe be without intention?
It would be the idea and feeling of wanting to be more; the force, the drive to become something else. Would a flower bloom and a star explode? Would a human learn or an animal hunt?
We try to make things as simple as possible. Although there is far less fear and far more understanding then there is on earth. Try to comprehend an idea and instead of constantly using comparisons; comparing one idea to another which is how the brain of a human works. Try to simply 'know.' Start with knowing that you can go against your brain's natural comparison process. That process mentioned is where the brain decodes information, processing and sorting it in comparison to other experiences that are similar to past experiences. For example, walking by a woman and thinking of your grandma who always wore a certain perfume.
Have you ever just tried to know something? Don't guess - just know. It doesn't necessarily have to be important or something fun or challenging. Think about something outside of your realm of understanding such as gay activism or government or algebra and just know that there is a reason for it. Is it guaranteed to help you understand the world in a new way? It most certainly is, because when you know something has intention you shed light on that something, giving you the opportunity to find out what that reason - that intention - is. As you understand more of these reasons you understand more about the environment and thus the universe around you. This is the curiosity that drives innovation; the intention that causes inspiration which drives everything that is around us.
Don't be afraid to just 'know' something. You know a lot more than you give yourself credit for, and acknowledging that underlying knowledge is the difference between being afraid of change and welcoming it.
