Have you ever asked yourself this question, ‘Who am I?'
Many times, people will answer this question in the following ways: I am (insert name). I am a mother, I am a father, I am a wife, I am a salesperson, I am a daughter, I am a son, I am this, I am that.
Is that who you really are?
Those are labels that you have placed onto yourself, but is that who you really, truly are?
Go deeper with this question. They are three words that can you lead you on an exciting journey.
Who am I?
Eventually, if you continue to peel back the layers of who you identify yourself as, you will come to a place that you can't answer the question any longer. It is a place of nothingness. A place of serenity. A place of peace. Once you find yourself in this place, you will understand who it is you truly are.
Once you have taken all of the worldly identifiers, labels, and your ego out of the equation, you find your real essence.
This place of nothingness, this place of serenity, this place of peace...this is the eternal you. This you never ceases. This you exists even without the body. When you have reached the place where you can answer the question, ‘Who Am I?', you will realize you never even had to reach for it, you never even had to strive to find the answer, you never even had to seek to find it. It has always been.
But now, you have just remembered.
